The Challenge
HealthConnect wanted to launch a telemedicine platform to connect patients with doctors remotely. The challenge was building a HIPAA-compliant mobile app that could handle secure video consultations, integrate with existing electronic health records (EHR) systems, manage prescriptions, and provide a seamless user experience for both patients and healthcare providers. The app needed to work reliably on both iOS and Android.
Our Solution
We developed a cross-platform mobile app using React Native with WebRTC for video consultations. The app includes secure patient-doctor messaging, appointment scheduling, prescription management, health records access, and payment processing. We implemented end-to-end encryption, HIPAA-compliant data storage, and integrated with major EHR systems. The backend uses Node.js with PostgreSQL and is deployed on HIPAA-compliant AWS infrastructure.
